REGATHERING UPDATE

June 21, 2021

Clifton Park Resumes In-Person Worship

The following protocols have been developed to create a safe and healthy worship environment for those who feel safe returning to in-person worship.  This is an extraordinary time in history and the life of our church.  We need everyone’s cooperation to ensure a worship experience that both glorifies God and is safe for our congregation.

Our initial re-open phase of worship will be a family-friendly worship experience.  Unfortunately, given the demands of the moment we will be unable to offer childcare.  Parents/guardians are welcome to bring their children into the sanctuary.

WORSHIP SERVICES

  • In-person worship services will begin Sunday, July 4, 2021 and be accessible to church members and visitors

    • There will be one in-person service each Sunday at 8:00 am during July and August

    • COVID vaccination is strongly encouraged for those wanting to attend in-person worship

  • Virtual Worship service

    • Virtual worship will continue at 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. each Sunday

    • Services will be streamed on the following online platforms:

GUIDELINES FOR IN-PERSON WORSHIP

  • In-person worship attendance will be limited to approximately 120 persons in order to adhere to social distancing guidelines (~30% sanctuary capacity). CPBC will adjust the number of attendees as circumstances change.

  • Advance registration is strongly encouraged for those wishing to attend in-person service. Registration will be available on our website and through Realm beginning June 21, 2021.  If you do not reserve a seat for you and each member of your family, we may not be able to accommodate you on Sunday morning. An allotment of seats will be reserved for first time visitors who will likely have no access to our pre-registration system.

  • If you are experiencing respiratory symptoms of any kind (e.g., sneezing, coughing, fever), please choose to attend a virtual service and do not attend in-person worship.

    • Members are encouraged to check their temperature at home before leaving for church.  Individuals with a temperature above 100.4F should view the service virtually and check with their healthcare provider.

  • Restrooms will be available during Sunday worship.  However, there will be a limit of 2 persons at a time.  If possible, members and visitors are encouraged to use the restroom at home.

  • Everyone attending in-person worship service will be required to wear a mask while on the church grounds.  Masks should cover both the nose and mouth completely for the duration of the service.

    • Greeters will have masks available in the event one is needed for a member or visitor.

  • Prior to worship, a check-in process will be employed to maintain a socially distanced environment.  Members and visitors are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes early to make it through the check in process.

    • A parking attendant will greet persons upon arrival and signal members and visitors to make their way to the ramp entrance.

    • Greeters will receive members/visitors at the door and take their temperatures. Individuals with a temperature above 100.4F will be asked to view the service virtually and check with their healthcare provider.

    • Ushers will seat attendees in the sanctuary.

  • At the conclusion of service, worshippers will be dismissed in an orderly fashion and will be asked to exit the building.  Unfortunately, we are unable to allow gathering in the public spaces of the building at this time.

These protocols are temporary and are the unfortunate result of the challenging time in which we live.  We fully anticipate a return to a more “normal” atmosphere of fellowship and worship in the near future.  We are all looking forward to that.  Our hope is that as we adhere to these temporary standards, we will create an environment that is transformative, restorative, and most of all God-glorifying.

Thank you for your patience and accommodation.
