Median Adults (22 and beyond)
The Connection Point — Sundays, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Connecting to Christ and One Another to Point all to doing the same. . .
The Connection Point is a Bible study setting in which adults can live out Jesus’ Great Commission to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). Therefore, its structure encourages transformation (change) and transference (exchange) in the context of koinonia, intimate fellowship with God and other believers.
Transformation is about growing in the likeness of Christ. It is about intentionally connecting to Christ through His word and to one another through sharing and living that word together. Transference is intentionally giving God’s word and the Christ life away to others by leading them to faith in Christ and helping them and other believers to grow up in Christ, so that they too can be fit to spiritually nurture others. It is the pointing others to the same.
Bible study groups are conducted by a Lead Teacher and Spiritual Coaches who are selected from within the class. When all the players are in place, two things are happening: (1) Seasoned believers, serving as Spiritual Coaches, are “teaching” new believers toward maturity; and (2) Those needing nurturing are submitting to the accountability authority of their Spiritual Coach in an effort to become fit to do the same.
A variety of studies are offered each semester - Fall, Winter/Spring and Summer (see current class listing) and are taught by lead teachers who have had over 50 years of combined Bible teaching experience.
